As the unprecedented coronavirus crisis has upended industries around the world, we wanted to reassure the global seafood industry that the 25th Anniversary CFSE is still scheduled to be held this October 28-30 at the new Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center HICEC) in Qingdao.

China currently has limited international travelers from entering the country. In addition, large gatherings such as trade shows, conferences and sporting events are not allowed to be held. These restrictions are expected to be eased later in the spring and early summer, as China completes its recovery.

Many international trade shows that were scheduled to be held in China in the first half of the year have been postponed until September through December. As CFSE has always been scheduled for the end of October, there has been no need to reschedule the show.

When trade shows are again allowed to be held, Chinese authorities are expected to have new rules and procedures in place to protect the safety of all participants. The organizers of CFSE will be working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Municipal Government of Qingdao and the HICEC to ensure that CFSE will be a safe, productive event for the global seafood community.

As we receive more information, we will share it with CFSE participants. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming everyone to Qingdao this October.
